Security & scans
Why OnePDF
Your files stay with you
OnePDF's engine runs inside your browser, so a PDF is opened, edited and saved on your own device. Signed out, nothing is uploaded to any server, which makes it safe for contracts, bank statements, medical records and anything else you would rather not hand to a website.
Edit the text that is already there
Click a paragraph to retype it in the document's own font, size and colour, or drag it somewhere else on the page. The words themselves change: not a white box pasted over the old ones.
Conversions that stay editable
PDF to Word gives real paragraphs, PDF to Excel gives real numbers in rows and columns, and PDF to PowerPoint gives text boxes you can move. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, pictures and text turn into PDFs just as easily.
Scans become text
Text recognition in about 50 languages runs on your device as well, so a scanned or photographed page becomes text you can search, copy, edit and convert.
Redaction that really removes
Redact deletes the words and pictures under each box from the file and rebuilds it, so what you blacked out cannot be copied, searched or recovered from an earlier revision.
Works everywhere, adds nothing
Any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS, Android or iPhone. No watermark is added to your files, and once OnePDF has loaded it opens again without a connection.
