Create a PDF from scratch

Write a document and make it a PDF, or start with blank pages and put anything on them.

or drop it anywhere

How to create a PDF from scratch

  1. Write

Type your document: headings, bold and colours, lists, tables, links and pictures, on the paper size you choose.

  2. Create the PDF

Press Create PDF. The pages are set and the PDF opens in the editor, where every other tool works on it.

  3. Save it

Save the PDF, or download what you wrote as a Word document to keep editing it later.

Create PDF in your browser

Not every PDF starts as another file. Write one here as you would in a word processor: headings, bold and colours, lists, tables, links and pictures, on A4, Letter, Legal or A5 paper, upright or sideways, with the margins you choose. Press Create PDF and the pages are set in your browser.

The PDF opens in the editor, where every other tool works on it, and what you wrote can also be downloaded as a Word document to keep editing later. Or start with blank pages and place text, pictures, shapes and signatures wherever you like. Your draft is kept in this browser as you write, so a reload does not lose it.

Why use OnePDF to create a PDF from scratch

  • A real document, not a picture

The text in the PDF is real text: it can be searched, copied and edited again.

  • Paper and margins

A4, Letter, Legal or A5, upright or sideways, with the margins you want.

  • Blank pages too

Start with as many empty pages as you need, then add text, pictures, shapes and signatures with the editor's tools.

  • Also as Word

What you write can be downloaded as a .docx, to open in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.

Questions about Create PDF

Can I make a PDF without Word?

Yes. Write it here and press Create PDF: OnePDF sets the pages in your browser. Nothing else is needed.

Can I add pictures and tables?

Yes. Insert a picture from your device, or a table with as many rows and columns as you need. Both are kept in the PDF.

Can I start with a blank PDF?

Yes. Choose Blank pages, how many and what size, and the empty PDF opens in the editor for you to add text, images, shapes or a signature.

Is what I write uploaded?

Not unless you sign in. Signed out, your file is opened by OnePDF inside your browser, on your own device, and is not uploaded to any server. Signed in with a TensorActivity account, the files you open are also saved to your account, encrypted, so they are there on every device you sign in to.
