Summary: OnePDF reads, edits and saves PDF files entirely on your device. There is no OnePDF account, no cloud storage, and no upload of your documents. Your files are opened from, and saved back to, locations you pick yourself. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which processes limited device and advertising data as described below.
OnePDF is a standalone application. It is published by TensorActivity, but it is a separate, independent app: it is not connected to, and does not share data with, any other TensorActivity application or service. OnePDF does not use a TensorActivity account, does not sign you in, and does not send your documents or activity to TensorActivity or to any other TensorActivity app. Installing or using OnePDF gives it no access to data held by any other TensorActivity product, and using another TensorActivity product gives that product no access to anything in OnePDF.
1. Who we are
OnePDF (“the app”) is provided by TensorActivity (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how OnePDF handles information when you use the mobile application. It applies to OnePDF only.
2. Your documents stay on your device
OnePDF's PDF engine runs locally on your device. Opening, reading, editing, annotating, filling, redacting, optimising, encrypting and saving a PDF are all performed on the device, in the app's own memory.
- You choose a file through your device's system file picker. OnePDF receives the contents of the file you selected and nothing else — it does not browse, index or scan your storage.
- Your document is held in memory while you work on it. OnePDF does not keep a copy of your document after you close it, and it does not maintain a library, cache or history of documents you have opened.
- When you save, your device's system file picker asks you where to write, and the file is written to the location you choose.
- OnePDF does not upload, transmit, back up or sync your documents. There is no OnePDF server that receives them.
Because there is no account and no cloud component, there is no TensorActivity-held copy of your documents for anyone — including us — to access, disclose or delete.
3. Permissions
OnePDF requests permissions only where a feature needs them:
- Files you select: access is granted per file, by you, through the system picker. OnePDF does not request broad storage access.
- Network access: used only by the advertising and subscription components described below. The PDF editor itself does not use the network, and OnePDF works offline apart from ads and purchases.
- Advertising identifier: used by Google Mobile Ads in the free version, subject to your device settings and any consent choices presented to you.
4. Text recognition (OCR)
When you run text recognition on a scanned page, OnePDF renders that page and passes the image to Google ML Kit's text recognition running on your device. The recognition models are bundled with the app and work offline; the page image and the recognised text are not sent to Google, to TensorActivity, or to any other server by this feature. The recognised text is written back into your PDF on the device.
5. Advertising
The free version of OnePDF displays ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google and its advertising partners may collect or process information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, app interaction data, diagnostic information, and advertising data to provide, measure, limit, or personalise ads, subject to your device settings and any consent choices presented to you.
OnePDF does not provide the contents of your documents, your file names, or anything you type into a PDF to AdMob. Ads are shown in a separate strip in the app's interface and between tasks; they are never given access to the document you are editing. Please review Google's Privacy Policy and ad technology information for details about Google's processing. Users with an active OnePDF subscription do not see ads.
6. Subscriptions and purchases
Optional subscriptions are offered through your app store and managed with RevenueCat, which acts as our service provider for purchase and entitlement management. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app user identifier and purchase and receipt information from the store in order to tell the app whether your subscription is active. Payment itself is processed by Google Play or Apple under their own privacy policies; OnePDF does not receive or store your payment-card information. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Your subscription status is the only account-like state OnePDF holds, and it describes a purchase, not a person or a document.
7. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. OnePDF does not share your documents with TensorActivity, with any other TensorActivity app, with AdMob, with RevenueCat, or with any other third party. Information may be processed by the service providers named above only as necessary to deliver advertising or to manage store purchases, or where required by law.
8. Retention and deletion
OnePDF does not retain your documents. A document exists in the app only while it is open, and closing it or leaving the app discards it; only the file you explicitly saved remains, in the location you chose, under your control. You can delete that file with your device's file manager. Uninstalling OnePDF removes the app and its local state, subject to your operating system's behaviour and any device backup settings. Purchase records are retained by the applicable app store and by RevenueCat as required to service your subscription.
9. Security
OnePDF processes documents in the app's own private memory and does not transmit them. The app supports PDF passwords and permissions where a document uses them, and it will tell you when it cannot preserve part of a document rather than silently altering it. Files you save are protected by your device's storage and your own choice of location.
No method of storage or processing is completely secure. Keep your device software updated, use a device screen lock, and take care where you save sensitive documents.
10. Children
OnePDF is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required by applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when OnePDF or applicable requirements change. The updated version will be posted at www.tensoractivity.com/onepdf/privacy with a revised effective date.
